When I paint a picture I am putting my feelings and emotions on canvas. When people look at my art I want them to feel tranquility and peace within themselves. Mrs. Cummings (art teacher) The purpose for an art education is to develop a student's skills and knowledge in the art fields. The art department has many new concepts such as acrylics and pottery. With the help of Mrs. Cummings the Woodward Art Department program has been offered in the high school curriculum for the first time. Jack Hayword, artist from Alva, conducted a workshop for the students. 74 Stopping By Woods Oh A Snowy Evening Whose woods these are I think I know His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow.
