Foreword Forward - that could be the motto of our school. This past year has seenour school make great strides forward in buildings, facilities, and academic achievements. We hope 1961-62 will be considered a great year of progress, but only the beginning of many such years. Through the pages of this annual, we have attempted to record the story of this growth in excellence. To you, the students of WHS - who are the basis of tomorrow - we present the 62 BOOMER. TYPING I WHS Workers Without the untiring efforts of the WHS custodians and cafeteria workers, the days would have been very drab in Woodward High School. They devote a lot of time and effort to make our school a better one, and to see to it that the students are happy. A school consists of administrators, teachers, and pupils; but there are others who help our school life go on from day to day. Rural students ride to school in the route buses, the school is clean each morning, the lunch is always ready on time, and activity buses carry students on trips, but the people who make these possible are often forgotten. These workers are essential and we wish to show our gratitude by presenting them in this annual. Two other men often overlooked are R. W. Smith, clerk and Dan Price, treasurer. Clas ses These Students are sponsored by the American Legion and other civic clubs to represent Woodward High School at Boys’ State and Girls' State. Larry Jim Jim Bill Charles Senior Class Senior Officers Steve Mancillas, Carolyn Johnson, Regena Rutledge, Mickie DeVilbiss. The brilliant enthusiasm found in these shining faces is typical of the spirit behind the Senior Class. Some of the highlights for the seniors are the Homecoming dance, Coronation Ball, and of course, the grand finale of the year, the graduation exercises. JERRY ALEXANDER - T. I. 1,2.
