Work on the 1984 Phoenix began in April of 1983 with the designing of the cov- er. Throughout the summer and the school year, several staff members gave much of their time for the Book. Editor Debbie Newman, Assistant Editor Phenizee McElroy and Advisor Susan Sanders spent many weekends occupying the yearbook room on deadlines typing, proofing, cropping, draw- ing and re-drawing layouts. The staff of the 1984 Phoenix has tried to bring the differ- ent aspects of the school and its people into focus. The staff will always recall many memories which surrounded the production of this Book.
