The Sword and Chalice Under the guidance of Mrs. Cleo Hud- son, the SWORD AND CHALICE, Wood- ward Academy's literary magazine, en- courages students to express themselves creatively. Students themselves are of- ten surprised by the hidden talents of their fellow classmates. Chris Harkey headed this hard-working crew, with Steve Cole as copy editor and Mimi Moenk in charge of art. Vorpal Blade The purpose of a school newspaper is to increase interest in all aspects of student life - academics, sports, clubs, activities, and people. THE VORPAL BLADE achieved this with great successl Published monthly, the newspaper also contained editorials and articles on music, personalities, and events in Atlanta. The reader was even of- fered a theme to be used in emergency situations, written by an unknown Hharried English student. Greatly responsible for the increased popularity of the Vor al Blade were its co-editors - Renee Ruppers urg and Chris Swenson - who, with the staff, worked many nights to insure a school newspaper enjoyed by all.
