Under the direction of Mr. Roger Weber, this production was a complete Success. Enough profit was cleared over expenses to insure the Seniors of an enjoyable class trip. The student co- ordinators, Ann Mohrm an, Susan Sohajda, and Howard Herninger, played an important part by helping behind the scenes. All in all, it was a successful venture. 7 The Concert Band FRONT ROW: I.. Judd, I. Catalano, P. Chambers, S. Geisbuhler, C. Peiffer. ROW 2: J. Chambers, N. Oates, L. Haynes, D. Mitchell, T. I3 1 x uniors Present This year the theme of the junior- Senior Prom was HASTA LA VISTA, which means Until we meet again. It was held on May 24, just two weeks before graduation. The prom committees, at first unorganized and dissident, soon transformed into a unified, hard-working group. To keep within the budget, we had to scrounge, beg, and borrow mate- rials for the elaborate hacienda and courtyard. The assembling stage of the prom finally came. Can you imagine our joy when the ceiling finally remained aloft after having fallen twice previously? We spent many hours making an uncountable num- ber of flowers out of various materials. Of all the fantastic decorations, the fountain, which was very stubborn about being assembled, was the highlight of the prom. For the first time in prom history, we finished the decorations with time to spare. We had a great time. I4 Hasta La Vista P 55 fm i tudents Achieve GIRLS' STATE: FRONT ROW: S. Gray, C. The football and basketball teams worked long hard hours, but they weren't quite able to match their 66-67 records. The Homecoming, highlight of the football season, was an important event to Woodville's student body. The track team was rewarded by setting several records and being outstanding in several track events. Although they didn't have a director last year, the band made a remarkable come- back and got straight l's at district contest. At state contest, the band received a high II rating. Arriving in Woodville, the band received an escort through town complete with sirens and flashing lights. The junior-Senior Prom and the Senior class play were good examples of how suc- cess is built with team work. Many students this year also received individual honors. All told, this year has been a very outstanding year. Many of Woodvill's Juniors and Seniors attended Penta-County Vocational School. Penta-Cotuity is a very valuable asset to Woodville's educational structure. For the student who doesn't plan to go'on to college, Penta- County offers training in many different fields and also gives the student an opportunity to learn skills while working. These students also contribute to the many class and extra-curricular activities at Woodville. The students of Penta- County are an integral part of Woodville High School. Effective on june 15, 1968, is the consolidation between the Woodville and Harris- Elmore school districts. The combine Boards of Education decided to put the Senior High School at Elmore and the Junior High School at Woodville. Because of this mer- ger, many more subjects were made available to the students. The best of both schools will be combined, and this combined potential should prove to be the core of much achievements. -......, of-----A-...rw 45 Wayne E, Miller, superintendent, is serving his first year at Wooclville High School. As superintendent, he is directly responsible to the Board of Education for the smooth function of the entire school system. Mr. Miller will become superintendent of Woodmore School District in 1968. Fred Sander encounters a minor problem. 66 Baccalaureate and Commencement Services were held on june 9, 1968, in the Woodville High School Auditorium. These services were memorable to the Seniors and to the entire community, as the 1968 graduates were the last to graduate from Woodville High School. Tears came to the eyes of many as highlights of the school's past were recounted by Mr. Mil- ler. The Seniors, too, were a bit misty- eyed as they strode across the stage to receive their diplomas. But, as always, the tears were short-lived, as the future drew one step nearer. First, they suffered temporary deafness as a result of the overwhelming noise encountered during their tour of the Ford Motor Company plant in Detroit. They recovered in the peaceful surroundings of Greenfield Village. They topped their excursion by viewing the movie Around the World in Eighty Days . The trip was made even more enjoyable by the fact that they got of a day of school for their trip. The Senior trip highlighted a memorable yea.r of activities for the class of 1968. 68 -of UNDERCLASSMEN X. 3 , 1 4,451 3 2 ., W' W' ,, 24255 at Kristie Briggs Becky Brinkmeier Becky Bringman Margie Brown Kurt Faist Donna Fegley Brenda Fillian Charlene French WU X 3 P 'QW A Q . . sa in 4 51, .ef -s R Cathie Green Marcia Harmeyer Beverly Hartman Laurie Haynes r M1339 'Wi H-ran A Vi-2 43 5 if ffm J if , , 'ff' v A' he '- lib: K 'Q' 'M in 1.1 xi l 5 ,-it QT - Bl r Q -J wr f W., , Nr gg rrnr .,: , fi '14 4 NA' xi 4, W L Wag. sf Q X 455.12 il L S SI rr 158 1 Y EL ,wr '-Q 1 mx W w ., .5 rv r WJ if' ' If .. 3 ii? sl J M f an Ka, 1' Agri' me its J, W I JG , 1-up e .f1f1I24'-r' f ,, ' B, ' . rf A 4 N W M ' if is Class of 1969 Bonny Ameling William Andrews Elaine Bast jane Bowser jill Busdiecker Dan Cadaret Mary Ellen Clark Greg Dorfmeyer iw ::.i H r, ', .H an ' , - i 5 rj ' .
