Mrs. Melick This year, like many other years, F.H.A. has maintained a very The first of many activities was an initiation held on December 20, at which 6 new members were installed. At the following meeting, a Pot Luck supper was held, for which the girls brought tasty dishes that they prepared. At Christmas, there was an exchange of presents among Mrs, Melick and the members, during which refreshments were served. On February 7, the seniors prepared and served adinner for the underclassmen. A few weeks later the underclassmen assumed the role of hostesses and gave the Seniors a party.

The club sponsored a special Easter assembly and had several swimming parties at the Y.M.C.A. They hope to take a trip at the end of the school year. President . . . . . ABSENT:Danny Liskai,A1an Sandwisch, Bud Leuke, Roger Linke. Officers presiding for the year in F.F.A., Dave Blausey, Presidentg Allen Damschroder. Vice- President: Dave Camper, 'Secretaryg Howard Schroeder, Treasurer: Richard Noll, Sentinelg and Mr. Frey, Advisorg were elected at an early meeting held in September. Allen Damschroder was chosen at this meeting, to receive the State Farmers Degree which was conferred on him by State F .F.A. officers in Columbus. In October, Marvin Blausey, Dan Liskai, Roger Lenke, Robert Taulker, and Leroy Walston were elected to the chapter as Green Hands. Where as the former Green Hands of last year, Bud Damschroder, Harold Miller, Herb Miller, Bud Lueke, and Charles Emch were chosen to the Chapter Farmer Degree. Several of the boys appeared on the farm program of W.S.P.D. T.V. where they gave a television demon- stration on Improved Soil Management. Those participating in the program were Allen Damschroder. Dave Camper, Bob Bockbrader, Dave Blausey, Richard Noll, and Howard Schroeder. During November, the chapter conducted a rat extermination campaign by selling 150 pounds of warfarin to the nearby farmers. In connection with this a pest hunt was staged, won by Charles Emch. The farm management class attended two county conservation meetings and participated in the Sandusky County Beef Tour. The Chapter cooperates with other chapters in the county in various activities. Some are: County Banquet, Judging Contests, Fair exhibits, and Junior Fair Board.
