Mary Lou Niedermeier This year the Student Council worked very diligently on the organization of assembly programs beneficial to the student body. After many obstacles a pay telephone was obtained by the council for the use of students making personal calls. The Homecoming basketball game and coronation of the season's basketball queen and court was again under the direction of this body. Another undertaking was the organization of a Safety Patrol for next year. Probably the most outstanding project of the council this year was the editing of a Student Handbook. The handbook is for the purpose of giving the student a better knowledge of the way our school is operated. lt contains such things as school history, school rules and regulations, academic standards of our school, some of the school cheers, the school song, the organizational setup and the constitutions of the various clubs operating within the school, and a detailed description of the way the library functions.
