NOWELL County Superintendent of Education This is our school, where we grow, work, build, and prepare. W.H.S. contributes to the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of young people. It challenges every student to take advantage of every chance to gain more knowledge and to prepare to meet the opportunities, responsibilities, and duties of life. We grow and work together. From the first grade through the twelfth, we seek the same goal - learning through study and work and growing in wisdom among friends. We build and prepare together. The teachers set the pattern by helping each of us attain the highest degree of achievement possible in preparation for life. Our own initiative, together with the teachers’ guidance, enables us to face the chal- lenging future. As we turn the pages of the Rambler’s Reveille, we can readily see what an important part W.H.S. plays in the life of each of us. Seniore and Students: To the seniors I extend a salute fora job well done. You have set an excellent example for the rest of the student body in all respects. I am especially proud of the high academic averages which you have achieved as a class. As you leave our school this year, each of you will have your individual hopes for the future. If you perform as well in the future as you have here in this school, your hopes will very likely be realized. I wish for each of you the very best that life has to offer. You have been one of our finest classes. To the rest of the student body, 1 encourage you to emulate this year's Senior Class. They have set very high standards for you to follow, but you can meet the challenge if you make the most of your time while you are in this school. In the era in whchh we are living, the call is for excellence. Prepare yourselves to answer this call.
