8th 84 7th Grade Wrestlers Practice Mat Skills 7th and Sth grade wrestlers under the coaching of Mr. George Klinger, concluded their season with a winning record. No team cuts, encouraged wrestlers to keep in top shape. Individual wrestle offs before the matches determined which boy participated in the meet. 8th grader Bob Brown locks Craig opponent into pinning position. Undefeated Freshman Wrestling Team Captures County Title by Sizable Margin The freshman wrestling team gave Mr. Gene Nesbit his finest sca- son ever with a record of'12-0-0. During practices after school, the team worked diligently to increase wrestling abilities and endurance. In County Tournament action, the Braves dominated their oppcr nents and won the title by a large margin. County champs for Wood- view this season' were, Ken Denton, Rick Brown and team captain Doug Dwyer. Woodview wrestlers participating in the County Tourney were Pat Means, Gary Brown, Craig Stanley, Mike Walker, Randy Turner, Doug Dwyer, Howard Grounds, Rick Brown, Larry Davis, Ramone Rodrigues and Darrell Hurtley. Members of the 1971 spring golf team are, Jack Bob Detty,Jim Hershey, Dave Kelley, Dave Pfau, Don McDowell, Brad Thomas, Fritz Good, Brad Bindhammer, Cochrane, Gerry Dail and Coach Mace. Braves Active in Indoor and Dutdoor Sports The freshman golf team, coached by Mr. Dale Mace, experienced a disappointing 1971 season. The team practiced strenuously after school at various local courses. Al- though thc team managed no wins over ten losses, spirit was always apparent. The Warren Central freshman swim team under the coaching of M.r. Ray Karnafel, is in its second year of extra-school competition. The team is made up of Woodview and Creston tcp aquamen.
