Home EC and Gourmet Clubs Explore Food World Officers in the 9th grade Home Ec Club are, Lisa Reddick, corresponding-seo retary, Debbie Turner, treasurer, Dawn Stewart. recording-secretary. Christy Young, president, Nancy Nelson, vice president, Mrs. Price. Gourmet Club Officers are, Mike Patterson, treasurer, Robbie Meyers, presis dent. Back row: Stcvc Baker, sergeant-at-arms, Mrs. Hawks, sponsor and Steve Green, vice president. The 9th grade Home Ec. Club, sponsored by Mrs. jean Price, par- ticipated in many projects this year. A Thanksgiving dinner, a faculty breakfast, professional style show and makeup demonstration were among club activities. The Boys' Gourmet Club, spon- sored by Mrs. Joann Hawks, learned the basics of cooking and baking during meetings this year. Many Woodview boys feel this knowledge is important, as the club has a large membership. A cookie sale topped this years' activities. Mike Patterson and Robbie Meyers demonstrate how to bake cookie dough.

Pep Club officers arc Lynn Lawyer, secretary-trea- GAA officers are Katie Smith, secretary-treasurer, surer, Diane Pitt, vice-president, Dawn Stewart, presi- Cheryl Baker, vice president, Nancy Frazer, president. dent and Miss Shaw club sponsor. Promote Physica Woodview cheerleaders, sponsor- ed by Miss Nancy Shaw, promoted school spirit among students and sportsmanship conduct between schools at the various athletic events. The Pep Clubs, supported Woodview athletes and cheered several teams to county victories. Golf, swimming, skating, hikes and team sports were among this year's activities for the Girls' Athlet- ic Association. The Gymnastic Club, which promotes physical fit- ness, encouraged students to perfect their skills in tumbling, trampoline, bars and balance beam under the direction of Mrs. Cathy Burkhardt. Premieres Focus on Dramatics and Stagecraft As one of the largest clubs at Woodvicw, Premieres club teaches the appreciation of all phases of dramatics. Interested students be- come involved in acting, stagecraft, dramatic reading and makeup ap- plication. 4 Under the direction ofMiss Linda Sannita, members visited lo- cal stage plays, participated in a special Christmas convocation and a spring production. Members of the organization are also responsi- ble for morning devotions. Persons responsible for morning devotions are, Debbie Clark, Kay Walker, and jean Stanek. Standing: Kevin Denbo, Terry Cool and Roger Schmelzer. During club meeting, students study films on pantomiming. Back stage before the special Christmas convocation, members of makeup crew apply grease paint to cast. 4, .. Premieres officers are, Randy Phillips, president, Lynn Ottcrman, vice president, Cathy Gale, secretary and Julie Pack, treasurer. W Members rehearsed many hours for the Christmas play.
