On the whole they have had a very successful year. The class officers elected were President, William Stoffelsg Vice-President, William Rrdfgwayy Secreary, Mildred Layton, and Treasurer, Kenneth Smiley. Everyone will remember the Leap Year Dance given on February l4, Valentines g sornomoiiizs 7 -x Day. This was a turnabout dance and was areatly enjoyed by everyone, especially the girls. The day after this event the class started out on another successful drive. Stationery was sold for two weeks. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your remaining years at Woodstown High Hiqh School and that all of your endeavors will be a huge success. vw is Q? ,rex uw 1, - 1 . xg v. When the season was over they had a total of six wins, one loss and two games finished in a tie, thus capturing the tri-county conference honors. The first game, with Swedeshoro, ended with a score of 13 to 6 in our favor. Then Woodstown showed their strength by losing to a highly favored Chester team by only 13 points. Our first victory in Tri-County was over Pitman, 19 to 13. Then Penns- grove capitulated 12 to 6, followed by Clayton's 13 to 7 loss and Swedesboro's 50 to O defeat. Woodstown be-at 1-lammcnton 13 to 6 and the Glassboro game ended in a 13 to 13 deadlock. Then came the long awaited Turkey Day game with our great rivals, Salem, with Tri-County Championship at stake. Woodstown emerged with a 6 tc 6 tie which was good enough to take the championship. The Co-captains of Mr. lr'.'1n's ltoys were Maurice DuBois and Robert Funk. Edward lenlcins was probably the most outstanding rlayer on the Vfoodstown team, receiving many honors for his exceptional ability. 9-' I. Dorothy Ridqway, Gerry Buzby, Laura Hicks. Mildred Stoflels. Esther Hiles. Lois Darrell. Norma Elwell. Mimi Van Culin, Doris Elwell. Diane Dietemann. Betty Geoqheqan. Susie HOCKEY The girls fought hard to win trifcounty championship and succeeded. 'Woodstown is proud to be holder of this championship for the first time. The girls who fought to obtain this honor were Laura Hicks, captain and right inner, Susie Foote, right wingq Mimi Van Culin, center forward: Mildred Stoffels, left inner, D1ane Dietmann, left wing, Lois Dorrell, left halfbackp Doris Elwell, center halfbackq Esther l-files, right halfbacky Dorothy Ridgeway, right fullback, Norma Elwell, left fullbacl-cg Gerry Buzby as goalie, and Betty Ann Goehegan as the team manager. It was an exciting season to the very end. Since the Pitmanswoodstown game at Vtfcodstown was a tie, the second Pitman-Woodstown game on Pit- rnan's field was to determine one or the other as first place in the league. The score being tie again gave Woodstown first place with two ties while Pitman had three ties. All ganies after that were won, Woodstown successfully holding first place. The team is very grateful to our coach who put forth her best efforts in teaching us new tactics, therefore helping us to obtain this title of trircounty Foote. Coach Valentin. ,M , champions.
