,, ,, mt MW Jj, WV MM We, the Class of '46, feel sure that the rest of the classes want to join with us in expressing our appreclatlon to one whom we shall always remember as a capable teacher, a faithful friend, and a pr1nc1pal who has done much for us personally as well as for Woodstock High School, Mr Douglas V Evans It was primarily through h1s efforts that our school was accepted into the Southern Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges Before he came to W H S , we had no clubs These new compose a large part of our activities He started the S C A and was its sponsor for many years It is also through him that certain senlors who exeell in citizenship, scholarshlp or athletics receive medals and awards at graduation from various clubs and organizations The above were just a few of the outstanding, tangible things that he gave to W, H, S. during his ten years of service, but there were other little things that meant a lot, a smile as you walked down the hall, really learning something in his algebra classes, helpful advice, a friendly conversation, WI appreciate all those things which made us like him, respect him, and admire him. if u ,IX S 1 .N V ,fr 'Q m, ,7 S f 15 K 12'
