“NU cms' BASKETBALL --e Photograph Center Pat O'Rourke KH661lPU left to right Emogene Sheetz, Jackie Barr, Betty Vaughn, Leah Ann Jenn1ngs, Sue Flsher, Madge Trimble Standlng Ellen French, Margaret Lytton, Linda Kooken, Emma Lucy Ryman, Mrs Gochenour, Maxine Miller, Betsy Preston,Ethelyn Fultz, Sara Ann Wlne Motoring to Mt Jackson, the 'Blue Devilettesn trounced their first opponents by teamwork and speed Throughout the season the team tried to uphold the hlgh standards and ideals of true sports manship as llsted 1n our Code of lost only two games in the county coach,Mrs Gochenour, the team was of our full season We, the team, gratitude to her for all she has center guard, Pat O'Rourke, proved Ethics The Woodstock sextet league Due to our splendid able to have all the advantages wish to extend our heartfelt done for us Our captain and herself worthy of her title by showing good leadership throughout the season Sue Fisher, left guard,played clean and steady throughout all games Madge Trimble, right guard, displayed unequaled speed and timed passes during every game Betty Vaughn, left forward, the freshman discovery of the year, proved her basketball ability by tolling 162 points Jackie Barr, right forward, with her fastness and accurate shots tolled 117 points Emogene Sheets, center forward, proved her po- sitlon on the first team by her passes and 67 points Leah Ann Jenn1ngs, left forward, calm and sure, tolled 75 points Betsy Preston,Maxine Miller, and Linda Kooken were the outstanding subs The climax of our season was the game with the 'C8Tg06tt6ln of Fairchild Aircraft Corporation, Hagerstown, Maryland.
