The delegates learn the functions of our state government through direct participation and model procedures. In addition to this, they enjoy many recreational activities. As one of the delegates chosen. I would like to thank the American Legion Auxiliary and all others who contributed in making this marvelous and rewarding experience possible. BOYS' STATE Bruce Thurlow This past summer I had the great fortune of spending a week at Dirigo Boys' State. During this week I studied intensely on our state government. Also they taught us the ability of leadership and to have a strong body and a strong mind. It's a pity that everv young boy in the state of Maine could not attend Boys' State. I would like to thank the Legion and faculty for making this trip possible. LIBRARIANS 1st ROW - A. Swan, S. Boyce, F. Herrick, L. Stearns, P. Wing. 2nd ROW - R. Burnham, D. Morgan, M. Porter, L.
