An effort to capture this audience leads the teacher to invent attention getting devices. The explosion of a small bomb wakes even those determined to sleep through chemistry. A chariot race emotes Latin vocabulary. Students panting like dogs and holding their stomachs eventually breathe properly while singing. In truth, the dedication of the faculty makes the learning experience at WA unique. Their inventiveness and the fun it pro- duces helps to make high school the time of your life. 11

Yes, there are times when it seems as if the faculty has conspired to ruin your Saturday night date, or prevent you from attending the basketball game. And often, its audience is not too receptive.
