We began our first meeting by asking the question—what is a yearbook?—and as we approached the end of its composition we were still asking the same question, hut not with such blank minds. We at least now have a greater understanding of its meaning and importance to others. Despite a limited budget, we expanded the book and experimented with the senior sec- tion, portrayed this year through informal portraits of the members of the Class of 1972. We trust that we have fulfilled your understanding of what a yearbook should be, because that was our initial goal. Thanks to all who have contributed their time and talent to the 1972 Spine senior staff members—Jerry Kuper, Mark Howland, Sarah Adams and Margaret Bates; junior staff members—Robert King, Martin Deeg, Peter Sargent, Sarah Hamm and Noreene Stehlik; Mr. Robert Smith, Advisor and Mr. Guy Grube of Grube Studios. A very special thanks to Mr. James Findley of Bradbury, Sayles, O'Neik—Paragon, for his incomparable patience. Sincerely, Sandra Croteau Editor-in-Chief Spire 1972 96 Printed By BRADBURY, SAYLES, O'NEIU-PARAGON College ond Independent School Affiliate of Poragon Prett. Inc.
