The Spire Woodstock Academy 1961 Woodstock Academy gratefully dedicates Mr. Kenneth I. Beatson for his constant service and friendship Dedication Headmaster's Message TO THE CLASS OF 1961 All people are to some extent dreamers. Graduates from high school usually have dreams of wealth, success, adventure and fame. Many of these dreams are ruined and few come true prin- cipally because they have no foundation. However, a quick survey of history recalls to mind dreamers of the past whose dreams were considered impossible by their con- temporaries. Yet, Alexander did conquer the world, Joan of Arc did unite France, and Columbus did sail westward to a new world. These dreams prospered because they had a firm foundation. They were starting points for action. They were pursued with vigor and undiminished determination to overcome all obstacles. They were made a reality by the maximum development of every physical and mental facility of their originators. Your dreams too, may prosper. However the old adage still applies. You will get out of diem exactly what you put into them. It is my sincere desire for each and every one of you that your dreams will provide direction for your endeavors and that your efforts will Faculty Mrs. Spencer Jordan, Mrs. John Markis, Mrs. James Robertson, Mrs. Ralph Hamm, Mr. John Durst, Mr. Robert Wilde, Mrs. Frederick Lucas, Mr. Peter Santos, Mrs. Francis Curran, Mr. John Martin, Mrs. Edmund Seney, Mr. Kenneth Beatson, Mr. Robert Prince, Mr. Nor- man Emond, Mr. Allan Walker, Mr. John Dillon.
