This is Dress-up Day, GOOD GROOMI G EEK Plaid jackets and high heels every- where you look. The dressed -up line-up Good Grooming Week has now become an annual event. Each year it seems to gain in scope, in interest and in range. This year the Week followed five hints to better grooming. Posture, clean teeth and nails, and shining hair were but a few of the helps stressed during this week. Good Grooming Week was cl.imaxed by Dress -up Day. The event was sponsored by the Woodruff Stu- dent Council.

ET TU, VICTORIA A fearsome battle of words between Marc An- thony Woodrufus and Cae- sar Spaldingus was the sub- ject of the junior stunt. The words were a debate, which was to decide the fate of Cleopatra's king- dom and choice of hus- bands. The juniors won second place. THE UNTAKEABLES The senior class offering this year was a satire on the popular television ser- ies, The Untouchables . The stunt portrayed a bat- tle between Elliot Mess's twelve-year-old and Scar- face Capone's twelve - year -old over the question, Who's the strongest? The seniors won first place 3 E x ia ww , - .1 WIDOW WOODRUFF'S DILEMMA - The freshman stunt was a melodrama, with Widow Woodruff as the maid- en who was saved from the villain, Spalding. RUFFWOOD FOR SHERIFF Ruffwood represented Woodruff, while the bad man was Shorty Shamrock as Spalding. The two men were running for sheriff, and Ruffwood won the battle. The sophomores clinched third place in the contest.

Ghost for Rent was Mr. Skaggs' production for the 1960 Three One-Act Plays. The story concerned a young couple who wanted to take their aunt's estate from her. They planned to take it through the use of a ghost. However , the aged aunt knew a few tricks herself and foiled her greedy relatives. The cast included Gay Foley, Barb Barnett, Terry Taylor, John Cunningham, Pat Mitchell, Kay Howard, Dan- ny Carr, and Sue Brown. THREE 0 E-ACT PLAYS Shock of His Life presented a hilarious situation involving a father who, through the misinformation given him by his son, got the mistaken idea that his life was about to end. The play, directed by Mrs. Roach, starred Lew Coulson, Linda Hoerr, Rich Taylor, Diane Reed, Ellen Sauder, and Harry Doan. In the Mystery of Moldy Manor, the mad surgeon, Dr. Carver, and his family had in their possession a valuable ruby. This stone caused several murders and' perplexed a master detective. Everyone died, includ- ing the mad doctor who was killed by the giant spider. The cast included James Bond, Babs Dike, Hope Davis, Bob Lentz, Dayton Dorey, and Georgiana Watkins.
