How to live a well-adjusted life is the teaching aim of Economics classes and Social Problems. With all these worth- while courses, it is surprising to know that only two are required: United States History, and Advanced Civics. If he decides to stay with his business course, he takes typing his sophomore year. ln his junior year he can take shorthand, bookkeeping, and advanced typingg if he wishes, he can also study business law and economics. Advanced bookkeeping and shorthand secretarialpractice, office machines, busi- ness English are terminal courses designed to give the student skills and attitudes he needs on the job. Or he may choose to go into Office Occupations in which he works a half day under the supervision of both his teacher and his employer. This shorthand class is taking dictation from practice teacher, Miss Alice Martignetti. E,-Q went Sally Beckett and Sandy Halverson are checking their trial balances on the adding machine, while Pat Falatka posts credit items in her ledger. Kathy Williamson is practicing correct telephone technique talking from the hall to another student in the secretarial practice classroom.
