Specially trained instructors, using mechanical aids, graded texts, and charts to graph progress, help the slowest or ablest reader, giving everyone an opportunity to improve to his utmost. Sharon Hoepfner, Dennis Storey, and Joyce Bollman are showing a film in reading center. larry Zarley, Adrian Weber, Bill Shelton, Suzanne Wilcox, and Estelle Trilikis are working to improve their reading. Gratifying results were achieved when students doubled their rate, and comprehension scores went up proportion- ately. Everyone improved in something whether it was rate, comprehension, vocabulary awareness, or an improved attitude for the world of reading.
