In Miss Warfield's 5th hour beginning Latin Class, Dora Anthony, Mickey Boggs, Raleigh Allen, Darrell Bartel, and Carol Chapman check the derivation of a word. Most Yearbooks put all the emphasis on the extra curricular activities, but we all know that 90 per cent of our time is spent plugging away at the business of getting an education. Class work is all important. Everybody has to take three and a half years of English. Most academic students choose at least one year of Latin. Miss Perdew's 6th hour Freshmen English class seems to know all the answers. The week of October 21-25 the Asian flu hit hard! Although many schools were closed and Woodruff had 350 students absent, classes continued to meet. Carolyn Trimble, Carl Henke, Kathy Williamson, Marian Chamberlain, and Linda Powell illustrate how classes look- ed during the flu epidemic.
