IN MEMORIAM In memory of Jerry Holzinger whose death on March 18 was great loss to his friends in the student body. Jerry, a member of the Junior class, was killed in an automobile accident Sunday evening, March 18, near LeRoy, Illinois. He played football his freshman year, but most of his friends will remember him by his love for horses. He was a member of the Bar-X Saddle Club. q Jerry was born November 5, 1938, and was 17 years of age.

The Army occu ied his time from 1941 to I945. At the age of eight or nine, he displayed a very determined look. Mr. Harris helps many students in his counseling office. He graduated from Illinois State Normal in 1941. The 1956 TALISMAN is dedicated to MR. DANE HARRIS for his outstanding service to the student body of Woodruff. During the past nine years that he has been here, he has consistently worked for the good of the students. He has been interested in student activities through the years and.has spent much of his free time helping with'extra-curricular activities. We never . shall forget our faithful 'ticket-seller' and 'ticket- taker' who attended many of Woodruff's events. With his guidance students have brought honor to Woodruff through debate, plays, and the many other types of speech work. Ohr sincere gratitude and affection belong to MR. DANE HARRIS! Dedication .
