OUR SCHOOL Wilson Junior High School began its glorious history, Sep- tember 1927. Our present Superintendent Dr. John M. Hickey was its first student president. The following inscription by Woodrow Wilson is found on the entrance to the school: Our true wisdom is in our ideals; practical judgments shift from age to age, but principles abide. Let us set for ourselves a standard so high that it will be a glory to live up to it and add a new laurel to the crown of America. The program at Wilson offers excellent training in academic subjects, assemblies, clubs, guidance, health, arts, crafts, student cooperation in government, an excellent library, well organized intra-mural athletics and recreational activities. The philosophy underlying our school is founded on the principle that boys and girls learn to do by doing in a school where a democratic program that meets the needs of high school boys and girls is offered. In its essence we hope that here at Wilson all those who have entered have found a real spirit of life, opportunity and lofty ideals. A. J. NICELY, Principal

.Dedication Miss Rachael Adams Mrs. Claudia Brooks Mrs. Bertha Austin Wilson Junior High School has always been {oriunate in numbering among its faculty men and women who have given untiringly of their time, effort, and talent to promote the welfare of the student body, the school, and the community. The Staff of the Wilson Citizen decided to honor six of these outstanding teachers who have given many years of service to the cause of educating the young people of Wilson. This Wilson Yearbook is gratefully dedicated to: Miss Rachael Adams, Mrs. Claudia Brooks, Mrs. Bertha Austin, Mr. William Nelson, Mr. Joseph Sova, and Mr. Herbert Schilling in appreciation of their inspiring leadership which has contributed so much to the success of Wilson Junior High School.
