Girls’ Volleyball Row I: Angela Banks, Phyllis Grant. Cheryl Krajewski, Lenora Hyman, Donnette Peltier. Row 2: Diane Wycinowski, Debbie Friedman. Dcbi Hayles, Mary Ann Stavis, Millie Espinosa, Paulette Lipscomb, Avery Banks, Diane Moore, Missy Handler, Miss Phillips Coach. Absent: Trisha McArthur. The Girls’ Volleyball team completed its 4th year of interscholastic competition with a record of 4 wins and 3 losses to finish 2nd in the CIAC Regional Tournament. The varsity gained victories against Platt, Wilbur Cross, and Valley Regional, and suf- fered losses to Maloney (twice) and North Haven. In post-season tournament action the varsity placed 2nd in the tournament behind Farmington High School, losing only to 26 Farmington. Excellent defensive work sparked the Cats to victories against Buckley, 2 games to 1, and Southington, 2 games to 0.
