As sophomores we had a lrttle more confidence and self assurance than we had as fresh men We elected B111 Conroy as our president Trudr Kowal vice president Jody Atwood secretary and jack Howie treasurer Our big social event of the year was the Sophomore Hop Trudr Kowal and B111 Conroy headed the dance committee This year Shirley Balzer june Kelsey Peter McFadden Fred Spencer Anna Waldner Faith Wilson and john Wohl man were elected to the National junior Honor Society Upper classmen now and looking forward to more respect we elected the following as class officers jack OConnor president Faith Wilson vice president Trudr Kowal secretary and jack Howie treasurer Our class rings which were ordered in October arrived in February Some of the boys had them hardly long enough to look at them before they were seen on the fingers of their female companions February was an important month for thrs year it ushered in the Junror Prom under the capable direction of Trudr Kowal and Phil Reynolds lt was a very successful event When the National Senior Honor Society electrons were held the following people were admitted Lois Facrus Carol Gardner june Kelsey Trudi Kowal Phil Reynolds and Dot Todeschrnr In the spring Phil Reynolds was elected president and Lois Facius secretary of Student Government for the following school year At last the great day arrived and we began our senior year at Wilson As our capable ofiicers we chose the following Jack O Connor pres1dent Carol Gardner vrce president Jack Howie treasurer and Norma Gallagher secretary With Phil Reynolds rn charge the Student Government began to operate smoothly Carol Gardner was chosen editor rn chief of the Margmy The Girls Sports Club Dance first important socral event of the year was held in December We also conducted a very successful Christmas card campargn during which Claire Rancourt sold eighty five boxs This years Saga under the leadership of co editors Anna Zalrs and Fred Spencer promises to be one of the best March held some thing special for the social studies classes On the third day of the month approximately 140 students went to Lake Success to observe a Unrted Nations meeting We enjoyed several senior parties the senior p1cn1c the Saga dance and a wonderful Senior Ball to complete our senior year at Wilson Looking back over these last four years we find that they were probably the best of our lrves Now we are all gorng in our different d1rect1ons each into hrs own world But we the class of 1950 have one thing in common as we go out to our futures fond memories of these past four years at Woodrow Wilson High School 2 - s a ' 1 Q 1 a - y - x 3 1 3 7 7 - Q a ' s 1 s ' 1 Q 7 3 ' 3 , 7 ' Q s 7 7 7 ' s 1 a 1 ' s 1 1 ' 1 7 7 7 ' 3 . , . .
