A 4 X :QE t as as Four school years ago the doors of Woodrow Wilson High School were opened to the class of 1977. Freshmen were entering a stage in life they did not understand, a school they were unaccustomed to, a group of people they did not know. Time, however, would prove that the class of 77 was ready to understand all these, it would mature and grow. Now, four years later, seniors look back with sa- tisfaction, pride, and experience. During the freshmen, sophomore, and in the junior years, the class was building, uniting, and coordi- nating its activities. In the sophomore year, the class sold jewelry for fund raising and it performed a number of other activities which would set the groundwork for future functions. The groundwork was evident when, in the junior year, a wave of students turned out to support the dances, the coo- kie sales, and the hat sales. Later in the spring of junior year, the class went on a class picnic. There under the shade of trees, clear weather and before the glimmer of the beautiful lake, the class enjoy-. ed a day of volleyball, swimming, barbecue, and baseball. ,At this point, if not earlier, the class was very much united. During the 1975-76 school year, the class proved itself to be hardworking and coop- erative. At last, September '76! Senior year! Senior activi- ties! Additional funds for a yearbook, a class trip, and a prom were needed. The class consequently promoted a final drive to sell cookies, jewelry, and candles. As was expected, many seniors coop- erated. Over one hundred students sold cookies, futhermore, seventy eight students sold over thirty dollars worth of cookies. Enthusiasm kept the class moving, that is until the senior class trip to Quebec, Canada. After the trip, the seniors suddenly real- ized that the year was almost over. Then in May came the senior prom, time was passing quickly. One month later the senior class would be graduated. Memories of the class of '77 will remain in the hearts of all seniors, those timid freshmen of '73, years into the future, many will look back and rea- lize how much they have grown since their high school graduation-since they were seniors-since they were part of the class of '77.
