Horewordf As students and individuals, our lives are conditioned by experiences, personal contacts, and the knowledge we have acquired throughout our school years. Every new term played its part in adding to our store of ' 'building blocks' ' of knowledge , and of worth-while experiences. Each section of worth-while experiences. Each section of this 1965 President represents one of these important build- ing blocks . V Faculty members have always played an important part in our total school life. Theirs is the responsi- bility of guiding and teaching each of us as an individual, as well as exposing us to those build- ing blocks that represent values and standards by which we all live. At the top of the foiu' levels of achievement .is the Senior Class, and only as a result of countless hours of effort on the part of each member did he survive scholastically up to this point. These Seniors should serve as an inspiration to all lower classmen who must realize that they will soon be making their own way in this work-a-day World. They must also realize that the various courses and extra-curricular activities are important building blocks in preparing them to meet the challenge of living. All clubs and organizations, as well as the activities pictured in the feature section, provide experiences in working cooperatively toward accept- able objectives. Here our efforts with building blocks ' are, in some ways, different from those in the class room, but they can be, in every sense, just as meaningful. 6 We cannot overlook the many contributions made by sports, whether they be in the form of actual participation, or just as interested spectators. Here, lessons learned in sportsmanship are the important building blocks that carry over into adulthood. How well we learn these lessons determines our relationships with those around us. All structures of any kind must have a solid foundation upon which they stand, and among the building blocks ' supporting the 1965 President are the very important ones representing the advertis- ers. The yearbook staff gratefully expresses its thanks to all individuals and concerns who have shown a concrete interest in this book. With all these thoughts in mind, the 1965 Pres- dent staff hopes that each of you will enjoy every moment you spend with the followlng building blocks ' ' .
