The class of 1962 entered our fair school in September with eager anticipation to start their high school career. Officers were immediately elected, meetings held, and Their first activity was the Pre-Game Party which was open to the entire school and was held before the Pennsbury football game. The biggest activity was that of the Sophomore Hop. The theme for the hop was '4South Pacific. September 13, 1959, inaugurated the operation of this organization which produced its first copy on October 2, 1959. Due to the lack of funds in its initial year, the majority of the issues of The Ramis Horn were mimeo- graphed, but periodically throughout the year, the staff produced several printed issues. This year. the greatest accomplishment was organizing an ably functioning staff as a foundation for future years. With each story and issue, the efforts on the part of the staff increase to bring to the school a greater knowledge and enjoyment of the student activities and achievements. However, membership is not based on grades alone. You will find all of the thirty-six members quite active in school activities exhibiting their true leadership ability, character and service to the school. Since the Honor Society was initiated this year, the members and officers recently elected, are plan- ning this year's agenda under the chapter's constitution. Of course, we would have liked to have had a better season, but we made up for it by having a team that fought well and was willing to work hard. Our greatest day came when we fought and won over favored Council Rock, 33-19, on November 9, 1959. We are sorry to lose the seniors that are leaving us this year. They are Ron Hudson, Ken Dynan, Jack Scarbrough, Richard Lamoreux, George Rodman, and Walt Boone. The Chess Team under the sponsorship of Mr. Greenhut has had a very successful year. The pur- pose of this team is to promote fair play and school spirit. The first Woodrow Wilscmn High School hockey team has proved that a new high school doesn't have to meet complete defeat the first season. The hockey team of the 1959-60 term has not only come out of the season with some ties but also with a new spirit. The kind of spirit that drives people on-on to victory as it will drive the future hockey teams of Wilson.
