These students were selected by their Ieadershipfcitizenship and scholarship. Their award is presented by the Ephebian Society of Los Angeles. In 1918 the superintendent of the Los Angeles City Schools believed that students trained in demonstrating democracy and schooled in working together, would apply their democratic ideals and cooperation toward bringing about benefits for their city and nation. For that reason, the Ephebian Society was founded. doth the Knights and Revelers are proud of their Sealbearers, life members ofjhe California Scholarship Federation.
