RECOGNITION Since this is the first year that Woodrow Wilson has had an official Alma Mater, we would like to give some recognition to Roselyn June Davis, the composer. Roselyn came to Woodrow Wilson when she was a sen- ior. She was unhappy over the prospect of changing schools during her last year, but she made friends and fell into the swing of things very rapidly. After graduation Roselyn attended Michigan State Uni- versity for one year. Since she was not certain about her major she decided to work awhile before continuing her education. She then obtained an office job with Best 8. Company in New York City. Roselyn is now working as a reservation clerk at the Hotel Manhattan and attending night school at New York University. During the school year of l954-55, the Student Council undertook a project of obtaining an Alma Mater Song for the school. Prizes were offered to the persons submitting the 'best Alma Mater Song. The Alma Mater Song written by Miss Davis was adopt- ed during the school year i957-58 as the Alma Mater for the school. We love the things you stand for Knowledge, truth, and right Love, faith, hope, and fellowship, Thy own creed is our light. 5
