Increasingly, the ability to speak and speak well has become a valued and profitable asset. Concentrating on a thorough background in English, Woodrow Wilson students have opportunities to learn in addition three foreign languages—Latin, French, and Spanish. Even with the help of Speech Teacher Helen Eckelman, Alienc Kinsel is destined to be the first to be eliminated in the posture contest. Four years of Spanish are offered as well as three years of Latin and two of French. Others will be added as the demand and need increase. Those with a greater understanding and firmer grasp of the essentials of English progress in high academic aptitude groups which spend more time in literature analysis and creative writing.
