IN MEMORIAM In Major R. M. Neher, Woodrow Wilson High School had a military commandant of unquestioned ability—a post which he filled for fourteen years. As a teacher of mathematics, he was respected by his pupils who remember him with fondness. His sudden passing in November, 1955, shocked and saddened his colleagues, his pupils, and his many friends. 23
