He is the only principal Woodrow Wilson High School has had; thus, he is synonymous with Woodrow . It can truly be said that what Wood'ow means to ihe students would be meaninqless without Principal G. L. Ashburn.

Down through the years teachers in the city of Dallas have considered it a privilege to teach at Woodrow Wilson. And also throughout the years, the instructors at Woodrow hove distinguished themselves in other ways besides doing their jobs to the very best of their ability. Many of the teachers have wide and varied interests and some have become quite prominent. Rush Caldwell, a history teacher for some years, was elected President of the Texas State Teachers' Association. Fred Erney, who taught Woodrow students science before 1930, wrote the book. Write a Conclusion, a general science text. Miss Myrtle Roberts, who is teaching history in Room 111 at the present time, is also the author of a textbook, Pattern for Freedom, printed this year for high school American history students.
