li. L. ASHBUHN OUR PRINCIPAL I have realized all my life as a man connected with the tasks of education that the chief use of education is to open the understanding to compre- hend as many things as possible.-Woodrow Wilson. We, the SeniorClasses, Wish to express our gratitude to our Principal, Mr. G. I... Ashburn, for his great under- standing and sympathy shown to us. His realization of our problems and his ability to make decisions fairly have Won him a never-to-be-forgotten place in our hearts. A democratic person, he believes in doing things in a democratic Way. His ideals of democracy are two- fold: equal opportunity for all students and equal interest in the various activities of Woodrow Wilson High School.lHis interest in the individual student as Well as in that of the entire school instills a high spirit of endeavor in all the students. In every Way possible he has laid the foundation for us to have a broader knowledge- to comprehend as many things as possible, so that we may become leaders of this democratic country-America. For his intelligent, sympathetic, human, unselfish, and democratic leadership, We are grateful.
