'R- Committees secured goal of close bond with student body To act as a laison between students and administration was the purpose of this years Student Interest Committee. Members met with Dr. Garcia to discuss ideas and complaints coming from students. They offered solutions and suggestions to various committees and directors. Members included Suzanne Whipple, Faith Richie, june Raquipiso, Clyde Mailes, lulie Lee, lack Hollander, Lori Littlefield, Dayle Dodge, Sharon Croom, Laurie Byrne, Bob Lockhart, David Hernandez, Pam Scow, Cindy Morales, Dave Porter, and Kevin Warner. Safety and Beautification met only a few times but a lot was accomplished. Recycling centers reopened and plans were made to paint trash cans, also to hold an all district litter drive. Cirriculum Committee, composed of ten faculty members: Miss Tressler, Mrs. Morton, Mr. Samia, Mr. Cox, Mr. Anderson, Mr. Rattenbu ry, Miss McGrew, Mr. Balwin, Mr. Workman, and Dr. Garcia, provided a better selection of courses. Three pilot classes are Media Workshop, Senior Honors Program, and Semantics ll. Pam Scow Rose Baglietto, Faith Richie, Terra Lynn Dearth, Chris Dearth, Lee Kyriacou, Bob Lockhart, and Laurie Byrne were students involved. To meet the interests of students, Assembly Committee produced a variety of assemblies. ln conjunction with Bota Bag, a skiing assembly was presented. Other programs were a film narrated by john Goddard and bicycling slides narrated by a cycling buff. Members of this committee were: Melissa Miller, Chris Dearth, Steve Fillipow, Bob Lockhart, Cindy Perez, Fay Suffin, Barbara Whitney, Lynn Young, Terra Lynn Dearth, and jon Thorpe.
