f X- GOVERNMENT-Individual and group responsibility were assumed by students in carrying out the new constitution which was made law after a heated whirlwind campaign, home room discuss- ions and an open forum assembly where both sides were discussed. The new instrument was modeled after the national constitution with executive, judicial and legislative departments. Vincent Jones, new stu- dent body President, conceived the idea of enlarged student government at Boys' State last summer, and the new constitution was the result which was sponsored by Junior Statesmen. The new oflicers in- clude: president, vice president, secretary, and governors of welfare, athletics, safety, finance, and en- tertainment.
