In council sessions budgets are analyzed and drawn up, reforms are suggested for the points' system, and problems of the court are discussed. Planning National assemblies and approving new club constitutions are included in their activities. Don Ealy was elected to fill the unexpired term of governor of athletics. Traditionally Council made provisions for Home Coming Day at which they shared hostess duties. Mr. Catlin is the sponsor. STUDENT COURT-Fulfilling the duties of the judicial branch of student government at Wil- son, Student Court was active the past year. The purpose of the court was to try students who did not conform to student-made laws, and to change the attitude of the offenders and help them become good campus citizens. The offenders tried were guilty of crowding in the cafeteria line, leaving trays on the tables, throwing papers in the library and patio, throwing water bags, eating in the auditorium, and breaking bottles. Students were summoned to the court after receiving two citations, and put on proba- tion or penalized. Members of the court try to change attitudes of non-conformists to fit into society. W 9 HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES-The working of a democracy on the Wilson campus is brought about by some fifty-five members selected from every homeroom. Homerooms, smallest gover- mental units in school, send their recommendations through their representatives to this great democra- tic body. Student and campus problems of every variety are discussed in this 'town meetingf These problems are sent to the Student Court, sponsored by Mr. McCune. 28

These and many more were the far-flung activities of the progressive Girls' League. Their active interest and support of school affairs was the spark that fired the campus. Two well-known women gave inspiring talks to the interested girls at assemblies. One talk on Personality was perhaps the highlight of the year. Another by Mrs. Stuart LeRoy Anderson was enjoyed immensely. Serving for Alumni, successfully giving two new girls, parties, making Christmas and Thanksgiving tray favors for the hospital were more projects. The colorful, gay Fiesta, headed by Girls' League, was the show time of the year. Their food booths were the hub of festivities. Three boxes of handmade baby clothes were sent to Sweden hy these girls who made service for their school and country, their goal. '4 GL. EX. Board--Deatherage, Aldrich, seated.
