lll4IllllTA'l'l0N: Campanile- HM-I is grate-fully eh-dlu-nh-d to 2500 1Vlls0n mon Q DEDICATION: To all of you out there, Men, Boys, 2500 of you, who are fighting the most deadly war known to man, this book is humbly dedicated. To the neurotic cases, the discharged, the fearless, the afraidg to the Marines who storm ghastly beach heads in the Pacific, to the Infantry in Italy that get in there and take it and die, to men on big guns and little guns, on big ships and little ships all over the world, to the bridge of ships, the Merchant Marine, who get bombs and gas through, to battle scarred, young veterans who flock to the campus daily, who match Valley Forge, Saratoga, Yorktown with seven battle stars, paralyzed arms, have abandoned ships, frozen in Alaska, become diseased in the slimy, swelter- ing tropics, to the bombers and Fighters who have blasted the enemy from the skies, to the gallant men in prison campsg to the daring ones who wonit come backg to these and a 1000 more we clon't know about, your Wilson gratefully declicates this 1944 CAMPANILE.
