Physical Education 39 Building Maintenance The Birmingham Public Schools provide a school lunch program in every school in the system and all schools participate in the National School Lunch Program. This program is designed to provide nutritious lunches to all students at reasonable prices and free and reduced price lunches to those children unable to pay the full price. All school lunches are designed to provide one-third of the daily nutritional requirements of children as established by the National School Lunch Act. Wood-lawn may well be proud of its lunchroom, staffed by such skilled and efficient persons. The custodial staff, headed hy Mr. Tanner, has the responsibility of seeing that the ninety-one rooms as well as the numerous corridors, rest rooms and other areas are well-kept and clean. Students arc encouraged to help so as to increase pride in the school.
