The Beatrice Hannon F.T.A. was numed in honor of our girls’ advisor. Miss Beatrice Hannon, in 1954. It became a club when the membership of the Charles A. Brown F.T.A. became too large. This F.T.A. is affiliated with A.E.A. ond N.E.A.; and its many activities include helping teachers, working on profitable projects and serving at classroom teachers’ meetings. Library Club of 1961-62 Thr Library Club, organized by Mi Mildred Johnston in 1938, U limited to those students who have been approved by the librarian as library assistants. Miss Katherine Robbins i now sponsor. One of their projects is preparing the monthly Library Bulletin, which i given to faculty members and to all session rooms. The hiembcrship is made up of students who have completed Math I and If and who want to continue their studies in mathematics. Personality Club 1961-62 The purpose of the Personality Club is to improve its members’ personalities. To become a member, a girl must be willing to work hard striving to develop her personality. Every semester the club chooses a project; and. in the past, the)- have bought bedspreads for the boys' hospital room in Mr. Bancroft's office. Althean Literary Club In I960 the Althean and Veatalian Clubs consolidated to form tiie Althean Literary Club. This club was formed to develop personalities, to foster friendships, and to add to the cultural life of its members. Some of their activities include guest speakers. social events, and interesting programs.
