Library Club of 1961-62 Thr Library Club, organized by Mi Mildred Johnston in 1938, U limited to those students who have been approved by the librarian as library assistants. Miss Katherine Robbins i now sponsor. One of their projects is preparing the monthly Library Bulletin, which i given to faculty members and to all session rooms. The hiembcrship is made up of students who have completed Math I and If and who want to continue their studies in mathematics. In 1921 the Pen and Ink Club was formed. The club’s aim is to give student an opportunity to exercise their own ideal , judgements, and initiatives. It is managed by the art student . Member design and muke numerous item among which are Christmas cards, ash trays, vases, and paintings. Many members participate in the city’s annual art show. The Ixreuwcnhoek Science Club was organized in 1922 when Woodlawn High School first opened. A second club was formed, and later the sponsors decided to consolidate these two clubs and form the Utopian Science Club. Recently the Chem-Bio-Physics Club united with this club. Every semester each member makes a science project. Many member have won stale and national prizes in contest and fairs.

The Beatrice Hannon F.T.A. was numed in honor of our girls’ advisor. Miss Beatrice Hannon, in 1954. It became a club when the membership of the Charles A. Brown F.T.A. became too large. This F.T.A. is affiliated with A.E.A. ond N.E.A.; and its many activities include helping teachers, working on profitable projects and serving at classroom teachers’ meetings. The girl in this F.T.A. do not necessarily want to go into thr teaching profession, but it offers -them the opportunity to develo; leadership by helping teachers during theii study periods, and serving at classroon teachers' meeting .
