Commercial Club The Commercial Club, organized in 1960, gives the commercial students the opportunity to learn about the world of hu-iness and to develop the skills that they have learned in the Commercial Department. Its main purpose is to further interest and .enjoyment in the field of nature. Interesting programs and many field trips help to make this club one of the most active in our school. El Pasatiempo Members of the Spanish Club hove fun learning about the customs, traditions, and history of the Spanish speaking countries. This make the study of Spanish more interesting for the Spanish students who are given preference as members of the club. FIRST ROW: Jeon Elder; Wilda Ramey; Elizabeth Joiner; Judy Wilson, president. The Bible Study Club The Bible Study Club is open to anyone who is interested in studying the Bible. It also is designed to increase your knowledge of the characters of the Bible. In 1921 the Pen and Ink Club was formed. The club’s aim is to give student an opportunity to exercise their own ideal , judgements, and initiatives. It is managed by the art student . Member design and muke numerous item among which are Christmas cards, ash trays, vases, and paintings. Many members participate in the city’s annual art show. The Ixreuwcnhoek Science Club was organized in 1922 when Woodlawn High School first opened. A second club was formed, and later the sponsors decided to consolidate these two clubs and form the Utopian Science Club. Recently the Chem-Bio-Physics Club united with this club. Every semester each member makes a science project. Many member have won stale and national prizes in contest and fairs.
