Catherine Bryant, editor-in-chief of the Taller, hold the Tatlcr which won first place in Class A schools, m the Alabama High School Press Association's annual conference at the University of Alabama Michel Bracewell, French Award, for the greatest accomplishment in four semesters of French. Julian Bynum (Fall Term) Quill and Scroll Journalism Honor Society, chosen from Taller and Woodlog staffs. Members must be seniors, have high scholastic averages, and must have served two semesters on one of the staffs. Members: Emily Ganruway, Catherine Bryant. Doug Nunnclley. Joan Wolfe, Sarj Martin, Don Nunnclley. Pat Ohnich. Andy Davenport. Joan Parker. .Mabrv Robinson. Patsy Bolle. and Billie Hood. Billie Fuller 1 (Spring Term) Coach John Howell, Doug Wheeler, George Shepherd, and Sonny Boggs hold the Birmingham News Awards which were given for outstanding foothall achievement. Others receiving awards were: Ralph Boyer, Robin Abbott. Johnny Jones, Tommy Godwin, and Ronnie Bicker. 21 Bausch-Lomb Science Award Medals, given for scholarship, sen-ice. and outstanding work in the Science Department Rugene Gunn (Spring Term)
