BOYS' MODEL CLUB ♦ The Model Club is for boys interested in a manual skill as a profession or a hobby. The boys work on their models at home and at club meetings. FIRST ROW. CLUB The Beatrice Hannon F.T.A., named in honor of the girls' advisor, was formed in 1954 when the membership of the Charles A. Brown F.T.A. became too large. The club is affiliated with A.E.A. and N.E.A. The activities of the club are numerous. Members help teachers, work on charitable projects, and help serve at classroom teachers' meetings. JUNIOR MATH CLUB 1959 The Junior Math Club was organized in 1955 !o promote genuine interest and progress in mathematics. To be eligible for membership, a student must be outstanding in math, must have had Math I and II, and must be interested in continuing his study of math. FIRST ROW: Tommy Tucker. PERSONALITY CLUB The Personality Club was organized to aid in developing the personalities of its members. Each semester the club chooses a project. This year they bought bedspreads for the boys' hospital room in Mr. Brown's office. To be a member a student must have a desire to improve his personality and be willing to work. NATURE CLUB | | HANDICRAFT CLUB The Nature Club was organized in 1954 to further interest in the study and enjoyment of all phases of nature. Many field trips have been taken and interesting programs on different subjects of nature have been given in past semesters. This girls' club works on either group or individual projects such as helping underprivileged children at Christmas or supplying food for a needy child for a semester. Each member may win a W letter by good attendance, paying of dues, and making of projects.
