THE SKIPPER’S MESSAGE TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1956 You. the graduating class of 1956. have presented this newly designed Woodlog as a voyage at sea. This brings to me memories of you who have made and are making the journey on the sea of life. May we think of our school as a great boat factory. Our production consists of selecting the finest materials (young men and women) and through careful guidance and instruction prepare them for this voyage on the sea of life. We are producing sturdy surf boards, pleasure or fishing boats, luxurious passenger liners, cargo or freight boats, and speedy, mighty vessels of war. Each l oat. or each of you. plays an all-important part in this life’s voyage. That part affects the boat factory, yourself, your family, and our country. As a parting thought, remember that, regardless of the construe tural material, your future success can never be attained without your selecting God as your Pilot and letting Him guide and direct your voyage and your life. Good luck, much success, and may God direct and guide you in your life’s voyage.
