Should we for’er forget this soot. Forsake old friends for new? Frankly, my friends, 1 think we won't; It's not the thing to do. And even, if we could, we won’t. To YVoodlawn we arc true! The years were happy that we spent vMong boys and girls we knew; And as from class to class we went We met new teachers, too. We starred here four years ago— Most all, at any rate, A few of us were somewhat slow; Some were detained by fate. Our freshman year was one of joy, But add a note to that: Every older girl and boy Smirked and called us “rat . On winged fee the next year came. And everyone could see We had outgrown that little name. For sophomores were we. Then we were very near the peak; Y'et we could not quite get The prize for which all students seek— We were mere juniors yet. And then our senior year rolled ‘round— Our sheepskins we had won! The prize that we had sought was found— Our high school days were done! Long live our Alma Mater dear! And, though we must depart, She e’er shall reign throughout each year Supreme in every hear .
