Wednesday we spotted M M's” and rag dolls for Twin Day. Thursday the Panthers were Mad for Plaid. New members in the various groups around Woodlawn were initiated in a variety of ways. Friday was Purple and White Day.” Some people simply wore purple shirts while others went all out dressed in painted purple jeans, with shiny pants and carried pom poms. Friday night, before the game, a parade was held. Various clubs and individuals participated. The float sponsored by the Junior Varsity Cheerleaders won the award for best float. The parade ended with Woody, the Woodlawn Panther, leaping out of a black limousine arousing the spirit of the Panther fans. Although the Purple Panthers did not defeat the Green Devils the festivities of the week made up for the loss.
