PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Never in history has it beer, more imperative that the United States make the best use of its human resources; never in the history has it been more necessary that every citizen of the United States be educated to the level of his ability. Wc must hold forth the goal of higher education and must inspire more and more students to seek it. We must find means, the resources, and make use of our knowledge to create leaders in every field and to find productive use for the abilities, however modest, of every individual. I wish to express my deep appreciation to the faculty, parents and students for the assistance given to the school. Congratulations to the Echo sponsor and staff. To each graduate, 1 extend wishes for a most satisfying life, and I would like to commend each of you on your efforts in publishing the 1965 Yearbook. J - - Mr. G. A. Dclafield, Principal W. D. QUINN, Assistant Principal ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE As we close another school year, we look back to determine if our school experiences were profitable. Were your goals of academic achievement met? Did you improve your ability to get along as an individual and within a group? Tlirough serenity, tolerance, and a genuine desire to learn, these objectives were met. To the departing seniors, my best wishes go with you. May you find complete happiness as you take your place in our American way of life. May you all find in this annual fond memories of your school that you will forever cherish. W. D. Quinn, Asst. Principal MRS. CARMEN COOK Mrs. Carmen Cook has been our secretary for many years. She commands all reception duties along with her clerical and bookkeeping jobs at Wood lawn. Without her cheerful disposition and winning smile, the front office could not possibly be the smooth running and welcoming center that it so definitely is. Mr. A. B. Sibley is Wood-lawn's very able and conscientious guidance counselor. Always on the job with the many facets of his work, Mr. Sibley can be found in his guidance office or out testing in the various classrooms. His job is a most demanding one of counselling, testing, and record keeping. MR. A. B.
