Worthy Students Are Awarded Honors Billy l-lollifield, Diane Dufour, Carla Quinn, and Tommy Waterfallen were chosen 'lOutstanding Teenager of America this year at Wood lawn. They submitted information sheets to be placed in slate and national competition. bf

Football Players Receive Many Honors ABOVE: Tom-my Waterfallen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Waterfallen, plays center for the Woodlawn foot- ball team. As number SSM on the team, he is re sponsible for the success of many of the plays. His precision in handling the football has placed him on the All-City and All-District teams. One of the most outstanding guards for Woodlawn is John Strange, a 190 pound senior. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Strange. His performance as number 67H has won him the honor of being a member of the All-City and All-District teams. Number 84U on the Woodlawn football team is Jim Woodruff. As a senior offensive end, he is one of Johnny Booty's favorite receivers on the field. De- spite being injured and missing three games this season, Jim was placed on the All-City and All-Dis- trict teams. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Woodruff. Leader of the Woodlawn Knights' offensive attack is Johnny Booty. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Booty. Johnny, the most outstanding quarterback in Louisiana, was named to the All-City, All-District, and All-State teams. This senior, number l0 , leads the state in passing with a total of 1862 yards. Ronnie Procell, number SO on the field, is one of the Knights' most valuable players. As a linebacker, he is responsible for the success of Big Redv. His efforts have placed him on the All-City and All-Dis- trict teams. Ronnie, the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Procell, also was chosen for the second team All- State.
