Plans were begun in November of 1982 to make this a reality. Due to the December flood the project was postponed. The 1983-84 Student Council voted to revitalize the project. Dale McGraw, an artist from Marble Hill was commissioned to draw, paint and attach the mascots of the eighth Stoddard County Conference schools around a map of the state of Missouri. The WHS students and especially the Student Council members are very proud of this new addition to the gym.

CHRISTMAS DANCE The annual Christmas Dance, spon- sored by Student Council, was held on December 15. The gym was decorated with snowflakes, snow- men and silver Christmas trees. The evening was filled with dancing, music by Super Sound and refresh- ments. Many students felt this was one of the most successful Christ- mas Dances ever. The Freshmen candidates were: Shelby Doerhoff and Matt Crader. The Sophomore class was represented by Donna Jones and John Swift. Lori Hutchinson and Jesse Lincoln were the Junior candidates. oCiia YU oyerS drowned now Queen Lisa Moyers and Mitch Goskie, represented the Senior class, and were honored as Snow Queen and Snow King. Dear Diary, On the night of December 15, 1, along with three other girls, was filled with excitement. But the real excitement started for me when I was crowned as the 1985 Snow Queen. I was happy to accept this honor on behalf of the entire Senior class, because without them it wouldn’t have come true.
